Melody Hamlin
Meet Melody, a registered Architect licensed in Wisconsin. With an extensive career spanning over 30 years, Melody brings a wealth of experience in project management, project design, and contract management to the table. As a certified LEED Green Associate, she adds an environmentally conscious dimension to her skill set.
Melody's forte lies in the application of cutting-edge building technology to craft meticulous contract documents, utilizing both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) architectural computerized drafting programs. Her expertise extends to analyzing the constructability of designed structures and providing technical support for building systems.
Notably, Melody has a robust background in preparing comprehensive opinions of cost for a diverse range of architectural projects, including new construction, remodeling, and additions. Her specialization in contract administration shines through, backed by over 20 years of on-site construction observation and administration skills.

Rick Schroeder
Meet Rick, a Registered Architect licensed in Wisconsin and Michigan, bringing a wealth of expertise to Funktion Design Studio. Rick takes charge of project management and architectural design, ensuring the seamless execution of each endeavor.
With an impressive 30+ year career in architecture, Rick has honed his skills in project design and production, overseeing various building projects. His responsibilities include supervising master planning, facility studies, programming, conceptual design, contract document production, and construction administration. Serving as a client liaison, Rick ensures effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Rick's diverse experience extends to historic architecture, where he has successfully completed numerous restoration, rehabilitation, and adaptive reuse projects. His proficiency also includes handling Federal and State Historic Tax Credit projects, along with expertise in preparing Historic Structure Reports.
As a seasoned architect with a broad skill set, Rick plays a pivotal role in realizing the vision and success of Funktion Design Studio's projects.
