Funktion Design collaborated with St. Matthew Catholic Parish on the conceptualization and construction of the Angelorum Gathering Space addition and associated renovations. The addition was meticulously crafted to serve as an inviting venue for pre-service congregation and to enhance fellowship possibilities post-services. It also accommodates versatile usage, functioning as a space for classes, meetings, and pre-wedding preparations. Inclusivity was prioritized with the incorporation of ADA compliant men's, women's, and family restrooms.
The exterior design of the addition was thoughtfully executed to seamlessly integrate with the existing church structure. Carefully selected materials were employed to strike a harmonious balance between the new and the old while infusing the addition with a contemporary aesthetic.
